Cannon Beach, Oregon

Back in February we had a chance to visit the Pacific Northwest for the first time. Neither Ashley or myself had been to that part of the country and we really enjoyed it and want to go back there soon. We went to Cannon Beach which is famous for its great view of Haystack Rock. Haystack Rock was used as a backdrop for the movie “Goonies“, which was one of my favorite movies as a kid.

Below are some photos that  I took during the trip and most were done with an iPhone.

This photo was taken with the iPhone as several photos and stitched together using AutoStitich.

Here is another panorama done with the iPhone.

Olivia and Michael- Oasis at Wild Horse Ranch

In October I had the pleasure of photographing Olivia and Michael’s wedding at Oasis at Wild horse Ranch in Tucson, Arizona.  Olivia and Michael are such a fun couple, I knew instantly after shooting their engagement photos and getting to know them a little better that I would really enjoy their wedding.  In their photos I feel like I really captured their love for each other and for life.  Not only were Olivia and Michael wonderful to work with but their families and guests were all so great to work with and I think that really shows in the pictures.  Olivia and Michael, I hope you enjoyed yourself as much as I did and thank you for sharing your day with me.

CDO Football

For the past few weeks I have been photographing Canyon Del Oro’s football games. So far the team has dominated every opponent that they have faced. I will be photographing more game so look for more football photos as the season goes on.

CDO has the top running back in the state and he has already committed to play at the University of Arizona.

Below, Ka’Deem Carey dives for a touchdown. The refs ruled that he was down on the 1 yard line. But I think he was in.

After not being awarded the touchdown, Ka’Deem tried to run it up the middle on the next three plays. On the third play he re-injured his ankle and has since had to rest it for two weeks.

Not a reception but a pick to end the game.

Tyler’s First Birthday.

A month or so ago Ashley and I went to Tyler’s first birthday party. The first time  I took photos of him he was 3 months old. He is growing up fast and is still the happiest kid I know.

Tyler and his Dad.

Tyler’s older sister Alexandra loves to be tossed into the air.

Danielle and Virgil

A few months back I shot Danielle and Virgil’s engagement photos and we had a great time out at Saguaro National Park.

After the shoot Danielle and Virgil hired me to shoot their wedding. I had such a good time and I got to learn that they are bigger fans of the Lord of the Rings movies then me.

Carly and Jake

Last month I got the opportunity to travel to San Diego to photograph Jake and Carly’s wedding. This was my second wedding in San Diego and my first one on Coronado Island. Jake and Carly’s wedding took place at the Hotel Del Coronado with the ceremony on the beach. Jake and Carly hired Emily Smiley to help plan their wedding and she did an amazing job.

Thank you Carly and Jake for letting me be part of your special day.

I had to block the lobby entrance to get this shot.

Carly’s mom helping with the finishing touches.

The bridesmaids helping with the garters.

The wedding was on the beach and the couple provided sandals for all of the guests.

Even the view behind the guests was great.
I kind of had to “kindly” ask some people on the beach not to stand right behind the couple.
Jake and the guy’s.
The reception was great and had some amazing deatils
I really liked Jake’s face in this photo.
The couple started a conga line and ended it with a group photo.

Victoria & Brandon

the day after christmas i got to work with victoria and brandon. I was really excited to work with them and also because i got to shoot my first greek wedding.
i knew that the ceremonies were long but i did not realize that they both had to hold a three foot long candle for 45 minutes. after the ceremony we headed over to the la poloma resort for some more photos and the reception. la poloma is one of my favorite resort here in town. it’s to bad that they have made it hard to sneak in, since the pool is rated a one of the top 10 resort pools in the country.

i have to thank victoria for giving me an awesome review on one of many wedding websites.
